Our Materials
Depending on the intended use, a wide range of high-quality materials is used in our production across the three trigema factories. For example, we use organic fabrics made from certified organically grown fibres for particularly sustainable and environmentally friendly products from the trigema Organic & Recycled collection.
Organic Fabric Qualities
BIO DELUXE-Single-Jersey
100% cotton (certified organic cotton)
The super-combed organic cotton used for this single jersey fabric comes from Turkey. Organic cultivation focuses on the long-term preservation of natural resources. The organic cotton is exceptionally soft and made from fine yarns. This soft, 100% organic material provides the feel of a genuine natural product against the skin. We use this fabric for a selection of shirts in our trigema Change collection.

Organic Fine Rib
100% cotton (certified organic cotton)
Fine rib is a circular-knit fabric with a double-faced, finely knitted structure made from fine-combed yarns, giving it slight elasticity. This organic fabric is comfortable to wear and particularly suitable for close-fitting styles. Its high absorbency, soft handle, antistatic properties and durability make it ideal for our organic underwear. The organic cotton is grown in Turkey with a focus on preserving natural resources over the long term.

This DELUXE cotton single jersey is very soft and has a subtle, lasting sheen. Its higher fabric weight provides good shape retention and a pleasantly soft handle. Its exceptionally soft feel makes this fabric ideal for our wide range of T-shirts and casual trousers, and it is also a popular material in our nightwear collection.

Double Rib

Double rib is a double-faced knitted fabric produced on circular knitting machines. It is highly elastic, exceptionally soft, very absorbent, hygienic, antistatic, durable and washable at high temperatures, making it ideal for classic men's underwear.

Fine Rib

Fine rib is a double-faced, finely knitted circular-knit fabric. Made from fine-combed yarns, its structure gives it slight elasticity, making it exceptionally comfortable and suitable for close-fitting styles. The fabric has antistatic properties, a soft handle, high absorbency, excellent hygiene, outstanding durability and can be washed at high temperatures. It is therefore a popular material for classic vests and briefs in our extensive underwear range.

Terry Fabric
100% cotton
This knitted cotton terry fabric offers excellent absorbency and a pleasant handle. Its characteristic loops increase the volume of the fabric and allow it to absorb a relatively large amount of moisture. Knitted terry is knitted rather than woven and combines good absorbency, a gentle massaging effect, durable loops and softness. We use this fabric for our bathrobes.

Heavy-Single Jersey
100% cotton
This heavy single jersey made from cotton (230g/m²) is exceptionally durable, firmer than lighter jersey fabrics, highly shape-retaining and has a substantial texture. The surface is slightly ribbed. Alongside linen, cotton is the only fibre that becomes stronger and more durable when wet. Cotton textiles do not scratch or felt, are moth-resistant, do not build up electrostatic charge and offer excellent light and wash fastness. Shirts made from this heavier fabric feel pleasant and gentle against the skin and provide a little more warmth in cooler temperatures.

Recycled Heavy Single Jersey
100% recycled cotton
This heavy single jersey is made from 100% recycled cotton. The state-of-the-art recycling process, which uses the innovative RCO100 machine system, makes it possible to produce comparatively longer cotton fibres. Processing these fibres creates excellent product properties that meet our high standards for trigema products. Textiles made from recycled heavy single jersey offer excellent comfort, do not scratch or felt, and are shape-retaining, robust and durable.

This cotton single jersey is made from particularly fine yarns and feels exceptionally soft and cosy. Alongside linen, cotton is the only fibre that becomes stronger and more durable when wet. Cotton textiles do not scratch or felt, are moth-resistant, do not build up electrostatic charge and offer outstanding light and wash fastness. Textiles such as T-shirts made from this fabric are therefore ideal for everyday wear and feel gentle against the skin. For this reason, we frequently use this fabric for our T-shirts.

This lightweight and comfortable fabric made from 100% cotton uses a plain weave, meaning that the front and back look the same. Plain-weave fabrics offer high resistance to abrasion and yarn displacement.

This stretch double-rib fabric is a double-faced knitted material produced on circular knitting machines. Made from fine-combed yarns, the fabric has natural elasticity that is further enhanced by the elastane content. It is exceptionally comfortable and ideal for close-fitting styles, which is why it is primarily used for fashionable women's outerwear such as crop tops.

95% cotton / 5% elastane
Thanks to its finely knitted, double-faced construction, this circular-knit fabric is particularly stretchy and elastic. We use it for many of our shirts and leggings. The elastane enhances the pleasant, skin-friendly feel, while the elastane fibres are highly resistant and durable.

Stretch Microfibre with TREVIRA BIOACTIVE
85% bioactive polyester / 15% elastane
Made from bioactive polyester and elastane, this fabric is breathable, durable and easy to care for, making it ideal for sportswear. In TREVIRA BIOACTIVE, the silver-based active ingredient is permanently embedded in the fibre polymer. The additive has a lasting antimicrobial effect that is not impaired by frequent washing or use. It acts on the surface of the fibre and does not migrate into the surrounding environment. Trevira Bioactive has been shown not to alter the skin flora and is therefore well tolerated by the skin. When bacteria come into direct contact with the textile, silver ions damage them and prevent them from multiplying.

Stretch Microfibre with Brushed Inner Surface
92% polyester with COOLMAX® content / 8% elastane
This stretch microfibre combines brushed COOLMAX® polyester on the inside with Trevira polyester microfibre on the outside. Both surfaces provide excellent moisture management, making the fabric ideal for training sessions or competitions in cooler weather. It dries quickly and rapidly transports moisture to the outside. The breathable COOLMAX® material on the inside helps keep the skin feeling dry.

Stretch Single Jersey with MicroModal
48% cotton / 48% MicroModal / 4% elastane
The stretch single jersey with MicroModal is made from a premium blend of cotton, MicroModal and elastane, providing an exceptionally soft, breathable and shape-retaining feel. MicroModal is made from sustainably sourced beechwood and offers a silky touch, excellent colour brilliance and environmentally responsible production. This combination makes the fabric ideal for fashion- and environmentally conscious people who value comfort, functionality and durability.

Stretch Viscose Single Jersey
94% viscose / 6% elastane
Viscose is made from cellulose, a natural raw material that can be spun into very fine, uniform fibres. This creates the soft handle and fluid drape of this single jersey fabric. The fibre's high moisture absorption allows excellent dyeing and printing. Shirts made from viscose-elastane blends are stretchy, easy to care for and have a silky sheen.

Performance Single Jersey Made from Stretch Microfibre
82% polyester / 14% elastane / 4% PU membrane
The special membrane system made from highly heat-resistant PU meets the most demanding requirements thanks to its particular composition. The material is hydrophilic, highly elastic, light-blocking and wash-resistant. The outer material is durable and water-repellent and has a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm in accordance with EN ISO 20811.

Quilted Sweatshirt Fabric with Padding
50% cotton / 50% polyester, padding 100% polyester
This fabric consists of two layers of lightweight quilted sweatshirt material with soft padding between them. This creates pleasant fullness and a voluminous handle. The fabric is durable and retains its shape well.

Interlock with Silver Thread
Outer: 100% cotton, inner: 66% cotton / 22% polyester / 12% silver fibre
A high-tech performance material with a high silver content. Interlock is a smooth, double-faced, finely knitted circular-knit fabric with the same appearance on both sides. The silver thread is positioned on the inside of the textile. All products containing silver feature only a few flat, soft seams placed on the outside. The fabric is stretchy, elastic and very soft. Silver underwear helps regulate temperature, reduce odours and prevent static build-up. This fabric is particularly suitable for athletes and allergy sufferers and is used by trigema for ski and sports underwear.

Lightweight Quilted Fabric with Padding
98% polyester / 2% elastane
A lightweight jacquard fabric made from three different layers joined with horizontal and vertical seams to create an attractive, distinctive pattern. This lightweight quilted fabric feels light and silky against the skin, is comfortable to wear, retains its shape and colour and is highly durable. In addition to excellent moisture management, the padding provides thermal insulation and protection from the cold.

Lightweight Sweatshirt Fabric
50% cotton / 50% polyester
The polyester fibres give this fabric an elegant appearance as well as the desired crease resistance and resistance to ironing, while the cotton contributes to comfort by absorbing moisture. These knitted fabrics are breathable and have a long service life thanks to their high strength. They also retain their shape well, even when washed at higher temperatures.

Lightweight Sweatshirt Fabric with a Soft, Cosy Inner Surface
50% cotton / 50% polyester
The blend of 50% cotton and 50% polyester creates a lightweight and comfortable sweatshirt fabric. The high polyester content also allows the inside to be heavily brushed, resulting in a cosy, soft feel against the skin and a pleasantly soft handle.

Merino Wool
80% wool / 20% polyamide
A lightweight single jersey made from the wool of New Zealand merino sheep sourced from certified farms that exclusively supply mulesing-free wool. The fabric consists of 80% wool and 20% polyamide. This blend makes full use of the functional benefits of merino wool while providing greater tear resistance and better shrinkage performance than comparable products made from 100% wool.

Micronyl Fabric
54% cotton / 46% polyamide
This woven cotton and polyamide fabric is very lightweight and durable. It has a water-repellent finish, retains its shape extremely well and is breathable. The fabric dries very quickly, while the high cotton content provides excellent comfort.

Velour Fabric
80% cotton, ring-spun and super-combed / 20% polyester
Velour is knitted and sheared on special circular knitting machines to create its characteristic velvet-like surface. It is a knitted fabric with a very soft handle and excellent wearing properties.

Piqué Fabric for Industrial Laundering
50% cotton / 50% polyester
This fabric is ideally suited to industrial and machine laundering at very high temperatures. It retains its shape, is highly durable and, thanks to its high cotton content, provides excellent physiological comfort. The material also offers very high colour fastness that is not impaired even by heavy perspiration. Excellent wash and light fastness are assured.

Piqué Fabric for High-Visibility Clothing
70% polyester / 30% cotton
This polyester-cotton blend, specially dyed in high-visibility colours, offers excellent physiological comfort. The fabric is very lightweight, durable and retains its shape extremely well. The knitted material dries very quickly, while the high cotton content gives it a very soft handle.

Sensil
90% polyamide / 10% elastane
This fabric is made from polyamide fibres with elastane using a special circular-knitting process. It offers high performance, characterised by rapid drying, low weight and excellent wearing properties. The Sensil polyamide Bodyfresh fibre provides lasting freshness, significantly reduces odour formation and has an antibacterial effect.

Softshell Made from Stretch Microfibre
85% polyester / 15% elastane
Softshell incorporates a membrane layer. The outer layer is made from a durable material that insulates the lining and transports moisture. The fibres provide excellent moisture transfer while absorbing very little moisture themselves. The fleece lining is breathable and warming. The softshell material is breathable and insulating, yet also windproof, durable and water-repellent, with a hydrostatic head of 10 m in accordance with EN ISO 20811.

Stretch Fabric
95% cotton / 5% elastane
A double-faced, finely knitted circular-knit fabric that is particularly stretchy and elastic. The addition of elastane further enhances the pleasant, skin-friendly feel. The elastane fibres in the knit are highly resistant and durable. Thanks to its exceptional comfort, this fabric is ideal for our premium underwear collections.

Textured Sweatshirt Fabric
45% cotton / 55% polyester
The polyester fibres give this fabric an elegant appearance as well as the desired crease resistance and resistance to ironing, while the cotton contributes to comfort by absorbing moisture. These knitted fabrics are breathable and have a long service life thanks to their high strength. They retain their shape well, even when washed at higher temperatures. The brushed polyester fibres on the inside trap more air, allowing the fabric to retain heat more effectively and provide a comfortable feel. We use this fabric for our sweatshirts, sweat jackets and sweatpants.

Sweatshirt Fabric
70% cotton / 30% polyester
While the cotton contributes to comfort through moisture absorption and a soft handle, the polyester fibres give this fabric an elegant appearance, resistance to ironing and the desired crease resistance. Sweatshirts, sweat jackets and sweatpants made from this knit are breathable and have a long service life thanks to their high strength. They retain their shape extremely well, even when washed at higher temperatures.

The polyester content gives this fabric an elegant appearance as well as resistance to ironing and creasing, while the cotton contributes to comfort through its softness and moisture absorption. These knitted fabrics are not only breathable and durable thanks to their high strength, but also retain their shape very well, even when washed at higher temperatures. Brushing the polyester fibres on the inside allows them to trap more air, helping the fabric retain heat and create a pleasantly cosy feel. trigema uses this soft material for sweatshirts, sweat jackets and sweatpants.

The special membrane system made from highly heat-resistant PU meets the most demanding requirements thanks to its particular composition. The material is hydrophilic, highly elastic, light-blocking and wash-resistant. The outer material is durable and water-repellent and has a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm in accordance with EN ISO 20811.

This fabric consists of two layers of lightweight quilted sweatshirt material with soft padding between them. This creates pleasant fullness and a voluminous handle. The fabric is durable and retains its shape well.

Interlock with Silver Thread
Outer: 100% cotton, inner: 66% cotton / 22% polyester / 12% silver fibre
A high-tech performance material with a high silver content. Interlock is a smooth, double-faced, finely knitted circular-knit fabric with the same appearance on both sides. The silver thread is positioned on the inside of the textile. All products containing silver feature only a few flat, soft seams placed on the outside. The fabric is stretchy, elastic and very soft. Silver underwear helps regulate temperature, reduce odours and prevent static build-up. This fabric is particularly suitable for athletes and allergy sufferers and is used by trigema for ski and sports underwear.

A lightweight jacquard fabric made from three different layers joined with horizontal and vertical seams to create an attractive, distinctive pattern. Softshell incorporates a membrane layer. The outer layer is made from a durable material that insulates the lining and transports moisture. The fibres provide excellent moisture transfer while absorbing very little moisture themselves. The fleece lining is breathable and warming. The softshell material is breathable and insulating, yet also windproof, durable and water-repellent, with a hydrostatic head of 10 m in accordance with EN ISO 20811.

Stretch Single Jersey with TREVIRA BIOACTIVE
100% bioactive polyester
A single-faced, finely knitted circular-knit fabric made from bioactive polyester yarns. In TREVIRA BIOACTIVE, the silver-based active ingredient is permanently embedded in the fibre polymer. The additive has a lasting antimicrobial effect that is not impaired by frequent washing or use. It acts on the surface of the fibre and does not migrate into the surrounding environment. Trevira Bioactive is well tolerated by the skin and has been shown not to alter the skin flora. Silver ions damage bacteria as soon as they come into contact with the textile, preventing them from multiplying. This makes the material ideal for sportswear; trigema uses it for ski and sports underwear.

This lightweight fleece fabric is brushed on the outside and is used in products such as fleece shirts and trousers.
