We are also aware of our social responsibility in our region. For this reason, the non-profit Wolfgang and Elisabeth Grupp Foundation was established on the occasion of the 50th birthday of owner and managing director Wolfgang Grupp. This foundation provides financial support for associations and the development of various social institutions in Burladingen and the surrounding area. It also helps quickly and unbureaucratically with acute problems and needs
For example, the foundation took over the purchase costs of new emergency vehicles for the DRK in Burladingen-Ringingen and for the Burladingen social welfare center. Thanks to the foundation's donation of millions, the new sports hall in Burladingen has been given the name "TRIGEMA-ARENA". The renovation of the town hall was also supported with a sum of money.
At the same time, the foundation has been supporting typing campaigns of the German Leukemia Aid in the fight against blood cancer for years.
When the neighboring community of Jungingen was hit by a flood disaster in 2008, the foundation supported flood damage relief.
The foundation is also involved in the cultural sector. For example, it supported the International Youth Music Festival, which was held in Burladingen. The foundation also covered the cost of a new grand piano for the youth music school and supported the "SingPause" project at schools in the district with a donation to the town of Burladingen.
A donation was also made on the occasion of the company's 100th anniversary in 2019, which will be used for the construction of the new municipal kindergarten, among other things.
After the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria in early 2023, the foundation donated to the numerous earthquake victims. In constant close contact with the District Administrator of the Zollernalb district, Günther-Martin-Pauli, our donation was directed to the refugee camps supported by the district. In cooperation with "Wir im Ländle e.V.", the affected people were provided with urgently needed funds.
