OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

An article that has been awarded the STANDARD 100 label by OEKO-TEX® is completely harmless for humans and the environment. It does not contain any pollutants. This applies not only to the fabric, but to all processed parts such as buttons, threads, zippers or other accessories. The tests are based on an extensive list of criteria.

This also applies to our products from certified organic farming (kbA). These are awarded the label 21. 0. 46351.

OEKO-TEX® STeP

STeP by OEKO-TEX® stands for Sustainable Textile & Leather Production and is a modular certification system for production sites in the textile and leather industry. STeP does not only take into account individual sustainability processes. It carries out a holistic analysis and evaluation of the production conditions. The main focus is on environmentally friendly production processes, occupational safety and socially acceptable working conditions.

OEKO-TEX® Made in Green

The label MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® serves the traceability of every product. It distinguishes products that have been tested for harmful substances and are sustainable. With this certification, customers are able to understand exactly where the product was manufactured and whether it is environmentally and socially compatible. This makes the entire supply chain transparent.
To be awarded the "MADE IN GREEN" seal, the products must already be certified according to Standard 100 by OEKO-Tex® and STeP by OEKO-TEX®. Since this has been the case at TRIGEMA for a long time, you can be sure: TRIGEMA is and will remain the brand with responsibility!

GOTS

GOTS is a very comprehensive and recognized seal and stands for “Global Organic Textile Standard”. It is a global standard for the processing of textiles made from organic natural fibres, e. g. organic cotton. These materials must be free of pollutants and all local social criteria must be respected. The organic cotton must come from controlled organic cultivation. Chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other serious diseases and destroy ecosystems and biodiversity are strictly prohibited. TRIGEMA organic cotton products are GOTS certified, which not only offers significant benefits for the environment and local cotton farmers, but also for you as a consumer.

Green button

The Green Button is a state seal for sustainable textiles that was launched in 2019 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. It is awarded to companies that comply with strict requirements. A total of 46 demanding social and environmental standards are involved. The product itself must meet 26 minimum social and environmental standards, while the company must ensure 20 additional criteria. More detailed information can be found at www.gruener-knopf.de
TRIGEMA has always produced sustainably and environmentally conscious. We conserve resources and do not pollute the environment. Everything you can buy at TRIGEMA is pollutant-free and skin-friendly. By being certified with the “Green Button” you can rely even more on sustainably and fairly produced clothing, because our entire collection bears this seal.
The Green Button has been signaling to customers since September 2019 that this textile article without the use of hazardous chemicals is not only harmless to the environment – the people who manufactured it are also paid fairly and work under safe working conditions. This applies not only to our factories on the Swabian Alb, but also to the people on the cotton fields of our partner farms, from which we source our cotton. Cradle to Cradle® Gold

The Cradle to Cradle® concept is based on the system of nature. It is based on closed cycles that do not generate waste and preserve valuable raw materials for us and future generations. The Cradle to Cradle® seal in gold certifies that the product is absolutely recyclable. This means that it can once again become a part of nature from which it was taken. Products with the Cradle to Cradle® Gold seal must be so pure that they can even be composted.

SEAQUAL®

The SEAQUAL® initiative is a global community of NGOs, fishermen, researchers, scientists, public authorities and private stakeholders. This community has set itself the goal of cleaning rivers, estuaries, beaches and seas of plastic waste. SEAQUAL® YARN is produced from this waste. Among other things, textiles are produced from this. A perfect cycle! TRIGEMA also manufactures articles from this recycled material. In our shop you will find a swimsuit that consists of 40% recycled plastic waste. Further information on textiles from waste can be found in our article in the TRIGEMA Magazine. TRIGEMA Magazin.

‘Non-mulesed’ merino wool

TRIGEMA W. Grupp KG is an environmentally conscious and sustainably producing company. As a manufacturer of sports and leisurewear, we not only have a great responsibility towards the environment, but also towards our customers, employees and suppliers. Social management is a matter of course for us and is just as important as animal welfare.

With this opinion, we are therefore clearly distancing ourselves from Mr Mulesing. We do not in any way support painful measures aimed at maximising revenue and revenue. We consider the Mulesing to be animal cruelty and are expressly opposed to it. The merino wool is sourced from the New Zealand merino sheep. As proof of the exclusive use of “non-mulesed” merino wool, TRIGEMA W. Grupp KG holds a certificate from Südwolle GmbH & Co. KG on behalf of Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Deloitte GmbH. Further information on the finest quality of sheep wool and its properties can be found in the TRIGEMA magazine. TRIGEMA Magazin.
